Jane's Field Notes

Hi, I’m Jane. I’m a photographer who makes her own hiking gear, and this is where I keep my field notes.

Each guide pairs the photographs with the practical details: how far, how steep, when to go, and what to bring. I focus on the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia and Iceland, and I link out to turn-by-turn directions rather than repeat them. What I add is the view from behind the camera: where the light lands, and what the guidebooks leave out.
